Aside from authoring The Pit, Travis also wrote the acclaimed, Caring for Kait, which chronicles the struggles endured by his great love, Kaitlyn, as she battled Melanoma (skin cancer).  Tragically, the disease ended up taking her life.  She was only 24.

That hurt him…  A lot…  But the incredible loss and wanting to do right by Kait is also what propelled Travis to scribe The Pit.  He is grateful to her for giving him continued inspiration.

Now.  With The Pit out of the way.  Travis plans on returning to a form of writing he is more passionate about – screenwriting!  He is looking forward to a return to fiction and crafting entertaining narratives with intriguing characters.  Though he learned a lot from writing The Pit, he contends it was not the most thrilling activity he’s ever participated in.
